[Ansteorra] Need Liqueur recipe

I did a google search and came up with the following:

My mom used to make liqueur (cranberry, coffee) when I was growing up. I got to sample (sneak) some, and it was really good. For the coffee liqueur, I think she used 1/2 vodka, and 1/2 strongly brewed coffee, and of course sugar. She would bottle it and let it sit for at least a month. Don't know how she made the cranberry one, but I know she used fresh cranberries, since we lived in Alaska, and those berries grew wild everywhere.

I once made Amaretto from a recipe on the internet, and it entailed a similar procedure, using either vodka or everclear, water, vanilla and almond extract, and sugar. Once it was bottled and sat for awhile, it came out better than the commercial Italian brand. Very tasty.

You can buy the kit you mention on heartlandhomebrewsupply.com for $30.99, assuming it's the same one on classicliquors.com, since they reference the link. I'm still thinking making it using vodka would be cheaper, but then brewing it would be an interesting experiment.

another site with an interesting story is: http://www.fishflorida.com/tales/fa00005.html

Good brewing.

I am in need of a recipe for Allspice liqueur. I am a beginner to Liqueurs
but I can probably adapt from some other spice if that is what you have. I'd
like to get this made before GW because it will need lots of time to mellow
and I'd like to have it for the winter court season.

I also need to know whether I should use a particular vodka that has almost
no flavor(Which vodka would you recommend? ) or something like everclear
watered down.

Thanks for any info you can send my way!
