Somehow I think Modius would look absolutely fabulous with a chain of alternating black and silver links.

Fashionable nearly-colorless options that don't tarnish as bad as silver are available... White gold, platinum... Or, hey, electrum... It's a silver/gold alloy, but it is a naturally occurring *period* alloy... :D
