[Ansteorra] Rose sponsored Cut & Thrust tournament at Lysts at Castleton!

The Roses of Ansteorra are pleased to announce that we are hosting the Cut
and Thrust invitational tournament at Lysts at Castleton the weekend of
April 9-11, 2010!  The tournament will take place at *7pm on Friday
evening*on the main list field.

This is a new activity for Lysts at Castleton and is a recreation of a 15th
century tournament a la King Renee of Anjou.  This is not a typical rapier
tournament but one which is more historically accurate to the mid 15th c.
Participants should make a reasonable attempt at a 15th c. harness with no
visible modern equipment.  Those interested in participating should contact
the event steward Master Eule von Haginbald (steward at lysts.swordworks.org)
by April 1 indicating your interest.  Prizes will be awarded to the winner
as well as to the individual with the most authentic kit!
