Subject: [Ansteorra] Let me introduce myself -

Greetings to one and all from Siobhan Medhbh O'Roarke, a newcomer to Bryn Gwlad!
 
My history in the SCA is a travelogue, now that I realize it! It's been such a wonder to widen my vista of acquaintances and experience cultures that make up our population.
 
I've spent the last 30 years or so wandering through the Kingdoms of the Known Worlde -- I began in Northwoods, in the Midrealm, with close ties to what are now Ealdomere, Northshield, and Calontir. 
 
My family and I moved to the West in 1993. After several years in the principality of Cynaqua (Sacramento area), I spent a couple of years in the Mists (SF Bay area) (altho I traveled between the two frequently for the whole of my time there!). I've been in CAID since early 2009, and now am here in Ansteorra for work. 
 
Enough travelogue, lest I bore you silly!
 
While I've been here a few months, I'm here now for at least six months more and want to become connected while I'm here. I'm finding this area very pleasant to live in (altho the humidity is something to get accustomed to!), and am looking for more permanent employment.
 
While I will not be coming to Storm- er, Warlord this weekend, I've been studying the local and Kingdom calendars and may show up to meet more of you in person. I've known the nobles I know as Reynard and Brynja from the Mid, met Master Michael from Namron  in at least the early 90's, and have been graciously welcomed by the lady whose modern name is Mary Temple while I've been attempting to settle into my new work. 
 
I look forward to joining in and having another kingdom to explore and come to love!
