[Ansteorra] Why aren't we doing this?

I won't say I'm "really good", but I have been the "official photographer"
at several events. I talk with the Crown, B&B, Autocrat, et al to see what
they want from their photographer and try to give that to them. Of course,
most shots are a judgment call anyway. 

There are usually 1-3 serious photographers who are attempting to document
the event. Then there are increasingly people with compact cameras recording
their friends. I have no problem with them and they are actually less
obtrusive than I am, but they don't try to get the overall event. I also
post mine in a known location and announce it after each event. 

Finally, my pictures are always available for free download from flickr for
non-commercial use. If you want a picture cropped, enhanced, blown up, or
whatever, I'll do that for free also. I believe that to be true of virutally
all the other photographers also.

BTW, my camera is in the shop and will have to be replaced they tell me.
Luckily, my insurance policy will cover it, but I'm in withdrawal now.
