Lol, originally, sticks were involved in their play. Then I decided that their parents would like them back sans wounds, so the sticks went over the fence. There's a reason that our fighters wear armor! :)

I was just going to say - my son was most entertained at events when he was
younger if there was a BIG pile of dirt, or puddles, or sticks, or other
kids to run around with in the dirt and puddles with sticks ;-)
