 The Shire Gleann Medonach, Kingdom of the Outlands, invites
our Ansteorrian neighbors to participate in our Great Hunt, Oct 22-24, at Artesia, NM:

 

All qualified archers are invited to participate in the
Great Challenge (winner determined by cumulative placings in the Buffet Round,
Speed Round, the Charging Bull, and “Mounted” Archery), the Dueling
elimination tournament, the Distance Shoot, and the Challenge of the
Equestrians.

 

Equestrians are welcome to participate in one of the
Outlands’ major equestrian events, with feed, water, and pens provided free
of charge on site. Besides the normal games, they will also participate in the
Challenge of Equestrians with the archers, and a mounted archery clinic is
planned.

 

Heavy combat and fencing will commence at 11:00 among the
mesquite, and end at 8:00 under the arena lights.

 

Events are scheduled to  allow all to participate in
and/or observe every activity.

 

Prepare for contests of the hunt, contests of valor, good comraderie,
fine feasting, and tall tale telling.  

 

Bring any unneeded garb and gear for Ye Olde CourtYard Sale.

south of Artesia/north of Carlsbad
on US285 to Mile Marker 58.5, turn west on Havenhill between the stone
gates.  Proceed 1 block west, turn right/north on Snowberry Lane.  Flying Horse Ranch
is 2nd drive on left.  Follow signs to Troll.  Due to
hostile, tire-eating plant life, please stay on the gravel roads and the
designated parking area.

 

Site is discreetly wet.  Pets must be on leash
