I can add that in 1985 the worst injury reported in Ansteorra was a dance 
related injury during a demo.

When I captured such statistics from Pennsic, the Chirurgeons had more dance 
related injuries than fighting injuries (though none was serious). Camping 
related injuries (e.g. falling over a tent stake) also beat fighting injuries. 
That was only for that year. I don't have a multi-year number.
