Fence rail works well for tent poles, when I made ours that is what I used
on the inside, and the cost is minimal. They even have the sleeves that
connect two sections for strength and they will cut the lengths for you at
the store. Sarran and I got really creative when we enlarged the tent, we
used the bolted connecters to make a cross bar and a clothes rack between
the 2 main poles. Because it is all made to fit together it is very sturdy
and will withstand even the winds of Battlemoor.
  Come and visit our camp at Castellan and you can see what we have done
with it. Have a cocktail when you come by!
