Imagine……
You are at Steppes Warlord 2012.  Hot as always, you decide to go to the hall
to enjoy the cool a/c.  As you wander
around the hall you notice a large banner hanging at the entrance to an
interesting area.  It reads “Artisan Row”
you decide to check it out.
As you enter you see a Cobbler’s shop, complete with someone
actually working on shoe making.  You
stop and watch a while fascinated by how interesting it is.  Across the way you notice a Tailor’s shop and
watch the talented seamstress working on making grab for your time period, you
realize she is doing something to with the fitting you never knew about and ask
her why and how to do this step.  After a
very interesting and enlightening conversation you walk away feeling like you
will now be able to make your garb fit better.  You notice next a lady’s solar, where there are several gentlewomen
sitting around embroidering, spinning and listening to story tellers entertain
them.  You realize these 3 booths are
just the beginning of this marvelous area where the crafts come alive.  The atmosphere is amazing and you can’t wait
to finish exploring the rest of the booths.
Now the time is to think about what you want to do for your
booth.  What do you want to display and
show off to your SCA friends and family at Steppes Warlord “Artisan Row”
