Great job at helping them to get involved in such a productive 
activity. I hope this is a trend that catches on big time!!! I'm sure 
their families are proud of them.
  I was going to make a comment such as- "Children. They're not just an 
ingredient anymore!". . . . Oh, I said it anyway, but what I REALLY, 
REALLY want to say is Vivat!!! When my son was little, he loved to help 
serve at feasts, I wish we had thought about including him in the 
preparations too.

Good Gentles,
For those of you that missed it, I would like to tell you about the 
fabulous
youth of Ansteorra. This past weekend , at Northkeep's wInterkingdom 
event., I
had the honor of teaching the class "Children's Feast". I am so proud 
of the
children that I could burst! I have bragged about them in the court 
following
the event but I neglected to mention that the children were required to
participate in "classes" prior to the event. These were about 5 weeks 
and were
done online. Two exceptions were made but the children did "catch-up" 
work to be

included in the kitchen. I had many responses (about 26). I was hoping 
they
would be from all over Ansteorra, but that was not to be, this time (I 
do
understand that it is a long distance for a one day event).

On the day, there were 20 children from the ages of 5 to 18 years old, 
in the

kitchen chopping, sauteing, roasting, mixing, making bread etc. . And 
they
were SPECTACULAR! By noon we were so far ahead of schedule, I wondered 
why we
don't do this every time! Lol
. Every child was on time reporting to the kitchen, they were scrubbed 
shiny
clean with hair secured and aprons on. Every child also used knives and 
heat
(open flame, burners, ovens etc.) and there was not a cut finger or a 
burn of
any kind. Feast was served on time, at the appropriate temperatures to 
an over
sold feast populace
I am so thrilled with these people that I just had to share with you.
