I'm not so sure about that. I've seen professional firework displays 
at the Ansteorran 25th and 30th year celebrations as well as at 
Lilies War in Calontir.

And doing a bit of digging, the word "fireworks" is not found 
anywhere in Corpora or the SCA By-laws, nor in Ansteorran Kingdom 
Law, so I don't think it's an SCA rule. On the other hand, city, 
county and state laws trump SCA rules, and they frequently *do* 
restrict fireworks, and I wouldn't be surprised if many site owners 
don't allow them, even if they are allowed by local laws.
