Did you actually just invite the ENTIRE Kingdom to your house for BarbQ?
Really?

Subject: [Ansteorra] Gauging interest for a Cut Test BBQ
I have a very special guest coming down to visit me from Minnesota the
weekend before Gulf War who has an extensive sword collection, is a friend
of world renowned sword maker Chris Poor, and shares my sick fascination
with grisly historic knowledge at the practical level. I'm considering
hosting an afternoon of cut tests and BBQ at my home in far north Austin
(Leander). I'd propose you bring your toys: soda bottles, cuir boulli
samples, tatami mats, pork sides, hog heads, riveted chain, padded
gambesons, artifacts, daggers, melons, maces, long bows, etc. and we go
after it all like a Gallagher concert for the criminally insane. With a
mind for safety and the lofty goal of greater clinical knowledge, of course
("Honey, we are not a bunch of rednecks waving machetes in front of the
neighbors... this is *science*!").
If you would be interested in spending a few hours maiming dead pig parts,
produce, Pepsi plastic, and sleep impedimenta followed by a little lunch of
Texas tastiness and perhaps an adult beverage let me know privately.
Sharp swords + Ansteorrans + Week Before GW testosterone. The potential for
a "Hey y'all... watch this!" moment is simply too good for me to pass up.
I'm definitely inviting Don Aubrey.
I wonder if my home owner's insurance has a clause for this kind of thing?
Sir Dieterich
