[Ansteorra] Event Calendar

I find some of the responses to this a tad harsh.

I, for the first time in over 7 years, find that we are unable to be paid members of the SCA. A senior in high school takes a small fortune. Since we are not card carrying members, the Black Star is not a viable resource for us. For information, we depend on the internet. If it is not on the calendar with a website
, it makes it difficult for us to decide whether we can go to an event. I would find it hard to believe this is not the case for a vast majority of the Kingdom.

Between the calendar, Black Star and group meetings...all communication avenues should be covered. They all should be as current as possible.

Apparently I read more into the calendar, as well. Until I learned differently, (and I still have to look twice sometimes) I read it as
"Elfsea Defender from apr 1 through 3.
Not as "sometime that weekend"

As more and more people use and depend on the internet, I think it most unsettling that we do not use it to the best of our abilities and make sure any and all changes, updates and websites are made/added to the calendar as soon as they can be.

As this my own opinion, and experience, it is not meant to offend...merely to be shared.

Lady Elspeth

What you say is true, but to provide the best service to our customers (us),
a little more information would be very good. Of course, one can go to the
official advertisement in the Blackstar for those details.
