[Ansteorra] Gifts for "War" Baskets

Your Grace, Dutchess Julia:

I owe you an apology - in my enthusiasm for the idea of a project to work on
from home, I may have overstepped. My husband recently gave me the okay to
work on SCA projects again (budget having been a constraint for the last
several months), and I jumped in with both feet, without stopping to think
first. I sent out a note to three of the Northern Region groups, asking
folks if they would sell, barter or donate items for gift baskets, with the
idea in mind that I would then find out who was the Gifts Deputy, and send
them all along in a beautifully organized and presented cascade of Northern
Regional pride and creativity. I shouldn't have done so, without *first*
contacting the Gifts Deputy. My only excuse was that I couldn't find that
role listed on the Kingdom Website, and thought perhaps it changed with each
Reign. I didn't realize it was a position that is held for a span, like an
office, and you still held it. In no way, did I intend to supplant or
interfere with the workings of your office, and if it came across that way,
you again have my sincere and humble apologies.

If possible, I'd like to coordinate the basket for Battlemoor once again, if
that's acceptable to you. If you would prefer not, I can deliver all items
I'm able to collect, with appropriate tags identifying the artist/donor, to
you or your designated representative.

With embarrassment at my over-enthusiastic action, I am, humbly,

-zubeydah jamilla al-badawiyyah
