We will have lots of fun outdoor games for children at 2 pm, weather
permitting, at Steppes Twelfth Night! Several of these activities might
have been done by Viking and Anglo-Saxon adults for recreation, such as
horse racing (with stick horses) and tug of war. These games will be adult-supervised.

Inside, there will be a game table/play area for
children all day that will be unmanned (no formal sign in and
sign out). This will be in the main room.

I will be checking on things periodically at the indoor table, of course!
However, children are responsible for picking up the toys
and games and parents are responsible for their children's
behavior in this area. Children under 5 are welcome,
although they should be accompanied by parents at all times, as some
toys and games may have small parts inappropriate for small
children. Children are also encouraged to bring their own toys
and games from home to play with, to share,
and to teach games to each other (please don't bring electronics
or expensive toys to this area!) If there are any other questions,
please feel free to contact me off list at ewilson618 at tx.rr.com.

There are also several dive shows at 11 and 2pm at the main
fish hatchery building and some Texas fish exhibits that parents may take
children to on their own if they wish, for a separate charge (last time
it was a reduced rate of $2 per person).

Barony of the Steppes
