Those Danes were & are so popular with the Ladies due to the fact that they smell SO much better than many local men, Because they bathe with soap.
Any 'murder' they comitted was in self defense, due to others not likeing their popularity with the ladies.

Just getting in water, which comes from God and does no harm, will help but is much better with the addition of soap.
“One, who maintains cleanliness keeps away diseases. ” & “Cleanliness is indeed next to godliness.” are sayings known in the lands where I come from.
Also soap is good at getting rid of fleas & other small critters.

Perhaps You might try having some of your villians bathe. Then see how much healthier & more productive they stay.
Since you seem to be worried about contact with God's good water yourself.
