[Ansteorra] Crown tourney entrants?

So when Rowan won, was Queen's champion a chivalric list or rapier?  
What about King's champion.  Along those lines, do the White Scarves 
protect the Queen or the Consort?  I love hearing about interesting bits 
of history like this.
