Katarina Helene is a great scribe and regularly teaches illuminations and bookbinding at Gulf Wars when she is able to attend, usually ever other year.  Meanwhile, you can find her at Pennsic every year, again, she'll be teaching.

This is a great site for you people who want to get into illumination. If working on a just a small scale challenges you hands and eyes think about doing this on a wall hanging. 
I make my wall hanging 5 feet by 6 or 7 feet and put a banding on them. I have done white work on many of my banding. It is fairly easy when you can use a larger brush. 
In the middle age people  learned a lot by the wall paintings. Taking pictures of stories out of the tales starts conversation and encourages research. Also by reproducing art work people get and idea of what "art" was in the cultures we study.
