Ok, I think each to his or her own. 6 Months is not a lifetime. This debate will always have 2 sides to it. Historically some royalty has had same sex partners behind closed doors. It has been going on since the beginning of time. I'd like to think that in this day and age, we are beyond that.

Co-Kings and Co-Emperors each had their own families. That's much different than the consort being the same sex as the sovereign.
