Good morning!
I live in magnolia tx and am having issues on where to go and how to go
about doing things when I get there.
I know where to go, but who do I talk to about events? What if I want to
join in activities? I contacted a senechal(sp?) But she wasnt very helpful,
in fact I think she was half asleep when I spoke to her lol
I would love! to join, but like any other newcomer am a little shy and dont
know what to do.
Any help or advice anyone can offer would be emensly appreciated!
Thank You
Amber

Greetings to the List,

Some updates for this weekend. The Run for Dad run is NOT scheduled to
begin at 8:00 am. It is scheduled for 9:00 am. If folks want to get to
site early (i.e., before 8:00 am) to unload and set up, then sign in at gate
afterwords, that will be fine. I will be on site between 6:00-6:30. The
site IS pavilion friendly.

Thank you,

Liam

Greetings Again From Alina:

To Their Excellencies of Bjornsborg, The Crown Of Ansteorra, Circle Folks,
Event Steward, Event Feastcrat:

I apologize if my previous email's tone. The event this past weekend was
wonderfully enjoyable, except for the feast hiccup. The feast was very good
and hot when it arrived. I was just frustrated and hungry in the delay of
feast. Sorry again if I offended anyone. I'll watch my words next time or
just keep quiet.

Sorry,
Alina

Good evening!

Please forgive the multiple postings, but I wanted to get this out to
as many folks as possible.

I will be running the waterbearing table at QC, and would like your
help! Do you have a bit of time to help refill water coolers? Can
you spare a few minutes to walk water around to thirsty fighters?
Then stop by and see me and I'll cheerfully take whatever help you can
give throughout the day. The waterbearing area will be located with

Many thanks!

Clearly it's all part of a plot by the future government of England. *grin*

Actually, anyone interested in this thread would most likely be interested
in the Tuesday Next series by Jasper Fforde. It's an alternate universe
where Baconians do door to door conversion attempts (much like modern
Mormons) and where forging literature is a capital crime. Reading this
thread reminded me of the series and I just wanted to share it with the
group most likely to be interested in it. *grin*

The Baron's Men will be going as a group, I'm sure. We'll probably put
something out on the Bryn Gwlad list and turn it into a party night for
Shakesgeeks.

We promise not to laugh at the screen during the 'serious' bits.

Greetings,

For those who may or may not have seen Centurions Liam's post, FM 2222
will be closed this weekend. This may have been a quite common road for
those east of Bryn Gwlad to come in on as 290 turns into FM 2222 as the road
crosses under I-35.

It would be recommended that you find an alternate route and the "best"
options are:

. From the north of Bryn Gwlad via I-35 South or east via US 290
East

o US 183 North

o Loop 1 / Mopac south

o 35th street west

. From the south of Bryn Gwlad via I-35 North or east via

o TX 71 North (Also known as Ben White or US 290 South)

o Loop 360 North

o Loop 1 / Mopac north

o 35th street west

Directions from the west won't be impacted by this road closure.

There are numerous other ways, but these are the most likely for folks to
understand.

Phelim - "Pug"

Greetings!

The Battle of Three Kings: Tournament of the Cross is only a couple of weeks
away and as the Vendor Coordinator, I would like to get some idea of the
Vendors that will be attending.? If you plan on setting up and being a
Vendor at this Event, please contact me at Carletta_Nicolosi at yahoo dot
com so accommodations can be made and there is enough space for everyone to
set up their wares.? Just as a reminder, we ask that Vendors donate an item
to the War Chest that will won by the victor at the end of the day.

Hope to see everyone there!

Subject: [Ansteorra] Fall Brawl Thanks
Message-ID: <000001cc8f44$9a881760$cf984620$@com>

Greetings,

I wanted to thank everyone who had a hand in hosting Loch Ruadh's Fall
Brawl! Several folks I spoke with agreed that the event was wonderful. It
captured the spirit of events of old; small and intimate enough to visit
with most everyone on site, yet varied enough in activities to provide
everyone with something of interest. As a chivalric fighter, I found the
fighting scenarios (Body Parts, 3-man-melee and "The Brawl") to be fun and
exhilarating. Refreshingly different from many of the tournaments we find
these days, and at the same time they were quite challenging. Obviously the
result of good forethought and planning. Though I missed the archery
activities (and probably others), the food, bardic, A&S, children's
activities, courts and hospitality were all excellent as well! While I am
never surprised at this from Loch Ruadh, I wish to never take them for
granted either. Thank You!

I was particularly pleased, and felt privileged, to fight in pursuit of
honoring our fallen brother, Connor na Mara, who I believe would have been
well pleased. However, knowing Bear's humble nature, he would never have
sought the limelight, but it was an honor nonetheless to shine it on the
superb example that he was for us all. In my mind, attaching his name to the
Chivalric Champion for Loch Ruadh, elevates that title to a level of respect
and honor akin to that I afford the Lion's of Ansteorra's. And Bear was
indeed worthy to be remembered now and forevermore in such a manner.

Well done indeed!

With highest regards,
Bloody Baron Armand Dragonetti
