I promise: no bad jokes about "X" Ratings.

BUT next weekend is Mid-Summer Knight's Dream XX . Smythkepe's premier 
Summer event returns again with a weekend full of things rated F (as in 
FUN or FOOD or FOREST).

This years site is Camp Cahinnio, near Booneville, Arkansas

This year's theme is "In the Spirit of Magellan" which will offer a tour 
around the world.

Scheduled activities include:

Three Heavy Weapons Tournaments (including "Meanest Mother on the Field")
Rapier Tournament and Smythkepe Defender
Equestrian Activities
Classes
Games (including the return of the dreaded PLAGUE FROG)
Anvil Toss
Chess Tournament
Herbal Competition

Even a Bardic Circle following feast (!)

Speaking of feasts,  what MSKD would be complete /without /a feast?

*1st Remove: */Italian:/ Cheese filled Shells,  Meatballs, Marinara 
sauce, Romaine salad, Raspberry Vinaigrette

*2nd Remove:*/Slavic/Russian: /Sausage,  Perogies, Rye Bread

*3rd Remove: */Mayan: /Maize wrapped steak, Tropical Fruit Salad 
featuring Papaya

*4th Remove: */The Netherlands: /Keokje,  Vanilla Chilling(a sort of 
custard)

Feast is limited to 80 people.

So, how much for all this fun? You could pay $50, you could pay $30, but 
NO!  You can have all this fun, all this food for low, low price of  $17 
for Adults, or  $5 for Children under 12.

Daytrip/ NO Feast $12 for Adults, no charge for children under 12.   
Non-SCA members please ad $5.

But remember: the closest KFC is twelve miles away, so you KNOW you want 
feast!!

As of this time, the weather forecast keeps changing: it may rain or it 
may NOT. Either way, the day will likely to be hot. So most  fighting 
and equestrian activities will be in the cooler morning hours with, 
classes, games, etc in the afternoon. Shade pavilions for watching the 
morning tourneys are encouraged.

Armor inspections begin at 9:00, with Heavy tourneys, Fencing tourneys, 
and Equestrian activities beginning at 9:30.

Directions to Site (Camp Cahinnio, south of Booneville, AR)

 From the East (Lagerdamm, Small Grey Bear, Coill_Fhionnabhann): Take 
best route to AR 23 at Ozark, and go south towards Booneville, AR. At 
Booneville, continue 11.5 miles on AR 23 to camp entrance (on right).

 From the North & West (Ansteorra, Grimfells, Crystal Mynes): Take best 
route to I-540 Exit 12 (US 71) at Fort Smith. Go south on US 71 approx. 
31 miles to AR 23 North (there is a Rest Area at this intersection. Turn 
north on AR 23 and go approx. 4 miles to camp entrance (on left).

 From the South (Ardanroe, Loch Bais): Take your best route to US 71 at 
Y City and continue north 25 miles to AR 23 North (there is a Rest Area 
at this intersection. Turn north on AR 23 and go approx. 4 miles to camp 
entrance (on left).
