Yup. I am a sheep.. a sheep with teeth -- baaa-grrrr.
And apparently is was medievally pronounce (Agnes that is) as Annis

Ines / Agnes /  Oanez / Agnete

PS: it is a Latinate form (Agnes) of the Greek Hagnos meaning holy.
Agnes is also said to have the meaning "lamb/sheep", due to similarity
to agnus - which I really like.
