[Ansteorra] iso european dancers ??

My two cents worth:

Middle Eastern dance only requires one person to perform. European dance has a minimum of two and sometimes more. That right there leads to the difficulty of naming a champion in the sense that we are used to thinking about it. Now, as I started thinking, I came up with some ideas on how to potentially make it so that one person was a winner, but I think we need more dancers to make that interesting.

So, right now, we need to work on getting more dancers. The European dance group in this kingdom had some unfortunate internal problems for a bit, and so the encouragement was difficult because we were all personally frustrated. We have gotten over most of our personal issues, and so we are being a lot more encouraging.

As far as how difficult, if you can walk, you can do a lot of the dances.

>> In Bryn Gwlad, we have an active dance practice that regularly has 20ish people or so in attendance. Shadowlands also has a group of dancers. As somebody stated, Bryn Gwlad's Candlemas has started a tradition of having dances between the removes of feast. Shadowlands has started regularly having a small event that has dancing. Gulf Wars, every night there is dancing. Same with Pennsic. They have many people at the balls. Pennsic the classes are usually fairly busy also. There are a few dancers in other places, but those are the active guilds that I know about. As dancing is a social activity, we are always willing to teach you whatever dance we know!
