[Ansteorra] Recognition (WAS: Travel)

greetings

what's harder for me is getting all the information for the award rec.
mundane names, age, playing how long, they are going to be at what events.
for me that delays my award recs more than finding out which awards they
have, and if they " qualify " for a different award.
and you cant always go by what's posted as the criteria for an award, as
some crowns don't follow what's posted as their guide.
best bet is to speak with someone you trust, preferably a peer or a landed,
but anyone can help you get the right award info, and you never know by
asking you may just get that person to thinking on the person your wanting
to see recognized..

"As for the 'who should put people in for awards'; I think it is 100%
EVERYONE'S job. ... I feel that everyone should put in for someone they feel
is deserving of an award regardless of their position. There are too
many deserving people out there for it to be the sole job of only a few
officers."

I very much agree with this, but it's a hard thing right now. Under our
current system, I
would have to have a good working knowledge of our award system *and*
somehow have gathered enough knowledge to know who was doing what before
they got which award, so I know if what I'm seeing is like what that
someone was doing before they got whichever award that I think should be
awarded for what I'm seeing. (Whew. That was a mouthful.) Written
criteria, as in a short paragraph for each award, would be immensely
helpful, and only a small change from what we're already doing.
