When I say the village can help take care of these children it is meant in
the good neighbor sort of way. Just as much as I would care for anyone that
needed it.

I WILL call down anyone, child or adult that is about to do something to
endanger themselves or someone else. I will instruct or advise a better
course of action. If the person in question is too young to be
unsupervised, then I will pass that on up the chain.

Often a word is all it takes and I do expect all children to respect adults
and consider their words. This can even be used to encourage desired
behaviors in children or even newcommers and other adults.

Just because we are a village and help our neighbors does not absolve
anyone of their responsibilities. I appreciate parents that care for their
children well.
