[Ansteorra] Translation vs Transliteration

Greetings Elanor, 

It really depends on the Language in question.  Most other Languages spoken in 
the world use  specific words for a specific meanings.  English, on the other 
hand will use one word with multiple meanings/ definitions of said word.  So 
most times direct Translation from one language to the other will not make good 
grammatical sense.  Translitteration tends to give the gist, as it were, of what 
is being said or communicated, be it song, story or poetry.  It's a matter of 
how you wish it to be presented.  I tend to do a bit of both and it works very 
well.  No confused faces wondering "why would it be said like that?" sort of 
thing.
