That *is* rehashing.  I suggest you re-read the thread via
lists.ansteorra.org with an eye towards a brief summary.
I can't re-read the thread now, but the ones I remember are
- I want a Queen to revere and to give my earthly worship.
- I don't want it.
- The populace as a whole doesn't want it.
- It's not necessary.
- The real-world historical argument.

I think that point *has* been adequately addressed, half flippantly by
"Gee, I thought we were just here to have fun", and stodgily by my
pointing out that the SCA is beset by competing tugs of real history,
SCA history, practicality, modern attitudes, what people see as fun,
et cetera.
