Wesað ge hal!

Sorry for the bandwidth, but for those who have been following local news
in some areas, a company called Megabus is starting express services
between about 7 cities and Dallas starting on the 19th of June. I bring
this up because I was one of the lucky sods picked to drive one of their
double-deckers for this service. In fact I will be in Houston for the next
two weeks training. Anyways, right now the fares are free to $1 as the
service kick starts. Even when it goes up to normal, I believe the fare
will be only $25 (one-way fare) which is, in many cases, cheaper than a
tank of gas one-way.

As to the SCA, if someone does not have much in the way of transport and
cannot find one, all you really need in another member in a city listed to
pick you up, house you and get you to the event site. Ansteorran cities
are Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Norman, OK with some other
cities like San Angelo and Del Rio (not sure if they have branches). These
are just the Dallas centered trips. Other cities might have indirect
services which can get you to the main hubs. Dallas hub also goes to
Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR.

Thought I would mention it as an idea. I know in the past I missed events
due to not being able to make the haul for car problems and the like.
