I would think basic Italian rapier would be suitable. Perhaps even
Hierarchy of Defense.

As to loaner gear, your first stop should be your local group. Some are
willing to check out baronial or shire loaner gear for a weekend event.
Have your friend bring a xerox of her drivers license. They will write what
she borrows on that. When she returns the gear they will return the sheet.
