This is a rigid heddle loom with a heddle that gives perhaps 10 or 12 ends
per inch (the instructions say the full width of the loom requires 84
threads and gives 16 inches finished cloth; I'm assuming that's 84 threads
down and back again, giving 10 epi, not 5, plus a bit of allowance for
draw-in). So I think you'd have to have fairly thick silk to use this as
is. And to weave a twill will require hand manipulation or (I think) a
second heddle -- I'm not a rigid heddle weaver. Anyways, this would make a
nice plain weave out of sock-weight yarn.
