Join us and compete to be one of the next Seawinds Defenders.

With competitions including archery, arts and sciences, bardic, chivalric,
gustatory, and rapier we have challenges for everyone.

Additionally those wishing to watch the Heavy Competition are encouraged to
bring their own sock puppets with tokens and favors to give to the sock
puppet fighters.  The sock puppet may be of a historical or SCA figure.
 Please no offensive sock puppets.

There will be a German inspired feast featuring home made preserves. Please
join us for a meal that won’t disappoint.

Adult Site $10.00 Child 5-17 $5.00
Feast $10.00 Family Max $30.00
Childred Under 5 are free.
Non-Membership charge will be $5

Make checks payable to: SCA Inc. / Shire of Seawinds
Those bringing campers and RV’s must speak with site manager about the fee
for their RV and power hookups.

Minors must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian.  They may also
attend with a 21 year old or
older adult with a signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form.

Site is strictly dry.

Defender 2012 is being held in the lovely La Fruta County Park on County Rd
16D Mathis, Texas 78368.  Take your best route to Mathis then follow TX-359
W south until you arrive at County Road 16D.  Turn left onto County Road
16D.  At the next road turn right and proceed through the gates. GPS
Coordinates are: 28.044095, -97.855571.
