Rhiannon If the scope of the event interests me and I am able to go the ability to drink or not has little or no bearing on my decision to attend.  However, for many the ability to enjoy a drink or two after the day's activities does enhance the event.  If all things were equal when looking at the two sites I would tend to go with the wetsite.
