[Ansteorra] on leaving the SCA--

greetings

although there are many points I could debate with you your grace.
I would put forth that perhaps having the hats " peers " be more forward
with " how may I be of service " or " how may I help " when looking at
planning event activities .
instead of trying to force activities on an event autocrat or landed , by
playing the " because I'm a ( insert award here ) " card .
you have the experience of thousands of events over many years, under many
kings, but it does no one any good if you alienate people and they no longer
listen to you : (
the old adage of attracting more flies with honey still applies, if you
alienate the crowns ,the landeds, and the people already working hard in a
group or on an event by telling them they aren't doing it " right" they tend
to not listen to you at all.
however if you try to work with them , and occasionally make suggestions (
which may or may not be used ) you may actually get some of the things that
you couldn't get by " demanding " : /

anyway , just my thoughts and opinions

Be Safe , Be Happy, Have Fun .
Arthur
