A reminder to all Steppes Artisan 2012 competitors!

While Steppes Artisan is a body of work competition, you do not need to bring out everything you have ever done. The judges will not have time to look at everything you have made since you first started the SCA. You are encouraged to bring a representative display that demonstrates your growth in a particular field, variety of items representing the breadth of your art in multiple media, or something along these lines. If you have more that you would like to show, you are encouraged to bring a photo album of additional items. ALL COMPETITORS WILL HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF SPACE...1 table and room for one mannequin or dress form. IF there is any additional space, it will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, at Their Excellencies' discretion. Right now, we have more registrants than we had last year at this time, and we had some last minute people show up. THEY will have first priority, as Their Excellencies have said that ALL who wish to enter will be welcome!

Also....A reminder that all competitors should be available during the judging to answer questions from the judges. We do have one person who has said that they will be bringing cordials to judge, so the judges will have to plan on an off-site visit for that. While competitors may take brief breaks, as necessary, it is expected that they will spend most of their time at their display, available for the judges.

Documentation need not be volumes. Most of the judges have said that a couple of pages is usually sufficient. An overview, perhaps, with details available, if needed. The judges are more interested in talking to you than reading tomes.

I still do not have a final size on the tables, but I believe that they are 8 ft. long and at least 2 ft deep.

Thank you to everyone who has pre-registered. It makes planning accommodations much easier for the Stewards of the event, and for Their Excellencies.

I look forward to seeing the wonderful works of this Kingdom's amazing artisans!

Thank you for this opportunity to serve, once again.
