Where you belong is with the group you choose to play with.

It doesn't have to be with the group that is closest geographically to you.

I recommend to new folks that if there are several local groups close by to them, that they investigate all of them and then decide which group feels the best to them. Sometimes folks will play with a group that is not their most local group because their interests coincide better with a group that if further off.

For instance, if your interests are in Arts and Sciences and the local group is mostly martial arts folks, you might wish to play more with the non-local group.
