Oh great denizens of Ansteorra,

The little event that could finally did. “Bring Out Your
Dead” is finally ….well…dead. We in the Shire can finally put this puppy to
rest after three grueling years of trying to make it happen. I would like to
start this missive off by saying that though I was the autocrat this was truly a
Shire event. Every aspect of the event had the input from the populace. I would
like to thank the Shire of Gate’s Edge for all of their blood, sweat, and frustrations
while we brought this thing together.  Now
I would like to give my thanks to those individuals so that Ansteorra may know
of their contribution.

Mistress Annes Clotilde von Bamburg and Lord Thorgard inn
Svatri for allowing the use of both their home and land.
Lady Gisele de Bier for her help in coordination and
succulent feast.
Lady Caitlin nan Cnoc Airgead for her coordination of hospitality.
Lord Antonio de la Tour for his Italian Ices.
Lady Aell de Wilde and Lady Alisone McCay for their
coordination of gate.
The Company of Saint Sebastian: Lord Padraic of Kilkenny,
Lord  Engenulf de Vienville, and His Excellency
Eadric Anstapa for the preparation of the archery field and running of the
Royal Huntsman Tourney.
Lord Leofwine of Sumersaetum for his coordination of the
Gate’s Edge rat shoot.
Lord Thorgard inn Svatri (again) for his coordination of
the Great Hunt.
Her Excellency Genevieve McCullum de
Caen for her coordination of the Bardic competition.
His Excellency Don Caelan MacRob for the coordination of
the Rapier competition
Lady Delphina de Champeaux for her coordination of the
A&S competition.
The attending populace of the Shire of the Shadowlands
(Shadowlanders rejoice!) for the judging of the bardic competition and the
Great Hunt.
Lady Natalia d’Auvert for her creation of the award
scrolls.
Mistress Sara Penrose for her calligraphy on the award
scrolls. My signature has never looked better.
The Shire of Gate’s Edge for the painting of those
scrolls.
Lady Nan Turnbull and Lady Fedelm ni Uidhir for their
coordination of children’s events. Next time every bring kids!
Lord Rolf Gruenwald for his tireless efforts at everything
to include webpage advertisement and general muscle for the event.
Their Majesties for allowing this humble Shire to host
the Royal Huntsman Tournament.
 And last but not
least the citizens of Ansteorra for braving the weather and sticking it out to
what turned out to be a great event.

If I have missed anyone I apologize. See me at BAM and I
will make amends.

For the Shire!
Lord Robert of Coleford
Shire of Gate’s Edge
