I have received some questions about Fire Suppression & Fire
Extinguishers in general. Please feel free to distribute the information
below freely.

If your camp is going to have; a Camp Fire, or a Grill, or a Propane
Tank, or a Tiki Torch, or a lantern, or candles, or a generator, then
you must have 2 forms of Fire Suppression.

Fire suppression methods are: a bucket of sand/dirt, a bucket of water
and a Fire Extinguisher.

Having 2 buckets, one for water & one for sand/dirt seems cheap & easy.
However, folks end-up using the water and then the bucket is empty when
you need it and digging a hole for dirt at Kings Arrow Ranch is harder
than it seems :-) A Fire Extinguisher, if not used, will last a while.

Fire Extinguishers come rated:
A for ordinary combustibles; wood, paper, cloth, etc..
B for flammable liquids & gas; oil, propane, cooking grease, etc..
C for electrical; power cords, power strips, generators

It is easier to find and purchase an ABC rated Fire Extinguisher. Most
folks get an ABC rated, 3 lb, pull pin extinguisher for their site.
Walmart carries them :-)

A Fire Extinguisher and a bucket of water or a bucket of sand/dirt are
your best options for Gulf Wars.
