GIFT       
  
Once upon a dream of long ago, 
two squires walked within a golden wood. 
They chanced to pass by one they did not know 
who greeted them with honor.  It was good!  
  
This simple gift of courtesy and grace 
became a trove as great as any gold, 
for admiration is a cherished state 
ennobling those who give with those who hold. 
    
And though a distant time may seem a dream 
when younger hopes were striving to be best, 
old warriors stand aglow with true esteem: 
once honored, they remain forever blessed. 
  
The more we praise the people in our lives, 
the more the goodness we admire thrives!
