Expanded menu with ingredients for the King’s College Sideboard!
The Period sideboard is under the direction of Sir Domingo de la Vega, and is a fund raiser for the Canton, with a suggested donation of $5 per meal. Tickets for the fundraiser will be available at Gate. Get yours early, they'll go quickly!
King’s College Sideboard Menu
Salat (salad)
Mixed greens dressed in balsamic vinegar / honey / olive oil
Ajo Blanco con Uvas (White Gazpacho)
Savory with a sweet bite, this is a chilled soup. Almond meal, bread, white wine vinegar, garlic cloves, ice water, white grapes
Ayren in Geler Salse (German Deviled Eggs)
Eggs, mustard, onions, bitter orange marmalade, red wine
Fritatas (Quiches)
Eggs, mozzarella cheese, spinach, mushrooms, onions, mushrooms, herbs, spices
Roast Chicken in sauces
Thighs and legs, grilled on site, cooked in different sauces (so no spilling little cups):
Pomegranate Sauce – pomegranate, molasses, ground walnuts, water, salt
Mustard – ground black mustard seeds, honey, white wine, wine to vinegar, salt
Garlic – roast garlic, breadcrumbs, chicken broth, salt
Chilled Rice Pudding with Almond Milk
Rice, almond milk, almond slivers, honey, cinnamon, ginger, saffron Carrot Pudding
Shredded carrots, honey, raisons of currants, salt
Remember -- you need to bring your own feast gear, including utensils and drinking cups. The soup and puddings will be served in individual portions in disposable cups, but everything else will go on your plates, etc.
