By now I hope that many of you have had the opportunity to see the cloaks
and medallions given to the premier members of the Order of Defense. The
creation of these items was truly a group effort, and the artisans of this
kingdom are beyond measure.

Master Kainin Tepesa sourced the white leather and metal fittings, created
a pattern, and put together the first 5 Masters of Defense collars.

Countess Kat MacLochlainn created several different designs based on period
works. She spent at least 50 hours and gave 6 medallions with the badge of
the Masters of Defense to be used by the kingdom. If you haven’t had the
chance to look through her gallery, I highly recommend it!

The Loch seamstress sweatshop, headed by Lady Hennessey O’Donohue, created
the pattern and put together 5 cloaks for the first members of the Order,
averaging about 15 hours/cloak. She was aided in this by Mistress Rhiannon
verch Bryan (design, construction, beading), Her Excellency Katya (Narkissa
Ekaterina Vladmirovna) (construction, beading), Lady Mahearra Ad’Lauria
d’Hexam (embroidery, beading), Her Grace Ebergardis von Zell (beading),
Lady Elena Wyth (design, beading), and Mistress Seraphina Maslowska who
provided the embroidered badges.

Special thanks go to Countess Sara Penrose for helping guide the project
and provide leads on artisans and to Mistress Caitrionna and HL
Jeanne-Marie la Verriere for offering to make future insignia for the
Order, as the Kindgom needs it.

Patterns for the collar and the cloak will be made available online soon!
