Another pre-reg reminder-yes, the same from earlier in the week. But
seriously, who wants to wait in line at the restroom? And that's a BIG part
of pre-reg planning.

Why do we keep reminding you that pre-reg closes on May 17?

Well, because when you pre-reg, you'll zip through the gate on arrival.

And a pre-reg headcount lets us make sure site facilities are prepared
appropriately.

Because there are other places that come to mind where you don't want to
wait in line either.

Would your kingdom, barony, household or group like to host a Hafla in the
beautiful Middle Eastern Tent at the SCA 50 Year Celebration? Only FIVE
night slots remain. Hafla reservations are still being accepted for these
rare remaining nighttime venues, and they will be promoted onsite, as the
program book deadline has passed.

Greetings! The Youth schedule for SCA 50 year is filling up quickly. But we
still have open slots for teaching, especially on the final weekend, Friday
from 10-1 and Sat. 10-2.

Especially needed: dancing, music, jewelry making, accessories, or of
course any such topic as you might be interested in teaching.

Please contact Mistress Cerridwen (children at SCA50year.org) to have your
class included in the youth schedule. The program book deadline to get
youth classes listed has passed, but classes accepted post-deadline will be
accepted and promoted onsite.

And it's HERE: everything you wanted and need to know about the SCA 50 Year
Persona Competition.

NOVICE: For those who have just begun to apply their research to the
creation of persona-appropriate items and character.

Contestants will undergo five unique challenges throughout the course of
the event. These will be scheduled at a time that will work best for both
the competitor and their judges.

Persona Development, Food, and Costuming are required for the Novice level
competition. Then, pick 2 additional areas--see the form link below.

ADVANCED: The advanced level is for those who have made a significant
investment in the research & development of an historically accurate
personae

Contestants will undergo eight unique challenges throughout the course of
the event. These will be scheduled at a time that will work best for both
the competitor and their judges.

Persona Development, Food, Costuming, and Everyday life are required for
the Advanced level competition. Participants will also choose 4 additional
activities to take part in.

YOUTH: Youth participants may take part in two challenges and complete an
activity book before the end of the celebration.

The youth level is designed to encourage our society’s youth to begin
persona research at an early age.

Contestants will take part in two challenges and complete an activity book
before the end of the celebration.
