[Ansteorra] Principality steps and progress

Greetings Ansteorra.  Many have heard that the Northern Region is working
toward applying for Principality status.  I wanted to give a quick update
on where that is in the process and what happens next.
Currently a polling has been completed to determine if there is interest in
the region becoming a principality.  That was done and the results came
back with 87 percent of the people polled wanting to move in that direction.
The next steps are as follows:
1. Create a name and device that will pass for the Principality.  Mistress
Emma de Fetherstan has been working on this for me and has a poll up to
gather input from folks on what elements they would like to see in this.
2. Create a framework Principality law.  I will be working on this with
several others from the region most likely in the February time frame due
to event schedule in January.
3. Determine a date or date range for 1st coronet tournament.
4. Put all that into a packet and submit it to the Society Seneschal and
Board of Directors.  Once that is complete a final polling will be
conducted by the Society Seneschal's office.  Once that is done the BOD and
Society Seneschal will make a final determination on the request.
This will all take time and I ask that everyone please be patient as we go
through this process.  I am working to see if I can manage to squeeze and
hour in at Round Table for a discussion on this matter if there is
interest.  In the mean time if there are questions please let me know.
