[Ansteorra] Eldern Hills Samhain

If you were not fortunate enough to attend the Samhain celebration hosted
by the Eldern Hills, you missed a truly lovely day.  Our hosts, Their
Excellencies Delesse & Gassion, were welcoming and kind. The weather
Saturday was beautiful, sunny and breezy. The hall was decorated with care
and pageantry, enlivening the space. There was an exceptionally successful
fundraiser organized by HL Fionn, to benefit the young daughter of a Fallen
Star. The feast ... oh lord, the feast. It was so good I did myself injury
attempting to eat a second portion of some courses (because the food was
VERY abundant). The feast stewards crafted something truly amazing.  At
Court, there were moments of merriment and moments of high persona and
moments that sparked tears of emotion and joy.  Sadly, despite my best
intention, I was not able to stay for the Samhain fire - the highlight of
the event - due to weariness.  I only wish I had been able to hear and bear
witness to the stories and memories of those who gathered at the fire.
