Greetings to the Populace of Bonwicke,

I know with the announcement of the stepping down of the Baron and Baroness
there have been many questions as to what will happen next.  In this
missive I hope to give everyone an idea of what Their Majesties intend.
Please understand that specific dates and sites still need to be worked
out, but this is a basic outline.  And just to be clear, Bonwicke is still
a Barony.  We want to make sure that what happens next is for the best for
all involved and will give the Populous the best path forward.

Once the Baron and Baroness have stepped down, at Candlemas and Kingdom A&S
respectively, Bonwicke will be considered under the protection of the Crown
with the local Seneschal working with them and the Kingdom Seneschal for
any official business. THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY STATUS. Their Majesties
would then like to ask the populace of Bonwicke what would you like to do?
They are VERY open to hearing what path people would like to take going
forward.  Would folks like to remain a Barony as Bonwicke is currently?  If
so, are there viable candidates to step in as the Landed Nobility?  Would
folks like to break up into smaller groups (Shires, Cantons, whatever)? A
mix of all the above?  Is there population in various places to support
whatever decision is made? What are the populace's ideas for the future so
we may inform not only the current Crown but future leaders of the populace?

If folks have questions about any of these possibilities, please feel free
to ask.  The Crown is wanting to make the decisions on the path forward
before the end of the reign, so this is something we want to resolve
quickly.  No one wants to leave folks guessing what is going to happen for
any extended amount of time.

Please keep an eye out, we will be working out times when we can do an
official polling.  Both the Crown and myself want to make sure that
everyone has a chance to have a say.  We will be looking for ways that we
can do multiple pollings in various locations so that not everyone would be
required to drive to one spot.  In addition, email missives with folk's
opinions will also be welcomed.  Again, the Crown and myself want to hear
from you.

I hope to have more information shortly and will get that out as soon as we
have it.  In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact either
