[Ansteorra] DEI OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

[Kingdom Seneschal]

Greetings Ansteorra,

I am so pleased to announce the opening of a new deputy seneschal office.
Beginning this month the Kingdom will have a Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion officer to help our groups insure that everyone has an
opportunity to participate and feel welcome in our Kingdom.  To that end,
please welcome Master Don Rene Damours as our new DEI officer!  I am sure
some of you are wondering what this DEI office is all about.  The DEI
office in conjunction with the society DEI officer is responsible for:

1. Assisting with group plans to promote diversity and inclusion to create
an atmosphere where all people feel welcome and valued.

2. Researching and advising groups on diversity and inclusion

3. Identifying external trends and recognizing best practices which will
increase diversity in our membership.

4. Working with officers of the SCA to improve our diversity and inclusion
practices.

5. Presenting diversity, equity, and inclusion training for officers that
has been approved by the Society DEI Officer.

This is NOT an investigation office, an enforcement office, or a place to
lodge complaints. Any complaints that fall under the Kingdom harassment and
bullying policy are still to be directed to The Kingdom Seneschal.
