Top Ten Things To Do While Everyone Else Is Off At Pennsic

10. Do that major armor modification you've been putting off for months
because you were going to need your armor the next weekend.

9. a. Hang out with some of your mundane friends for a change.
    b. Make the startling discovery that you no longer *have* any mundane
       friends.

8. Knit a mail hauberk or two.

7. Use the experimental technique to research period methods of sleeping.
    Document.

6. Work 80 hours a week so you'll have enough money to go *next* year.

5. Make up no-sht-there-I-was stories to tell everyone else when they get
back. After all, you don't want to be left out *after* War, too.

4. Declare yourself Regent in the King's absence. Raise taxes. Oppress
those minor nobility that haven't gone off on Crusade... err... I
mean... to Pennsic with the King.

3. Brew. Drink. Repeat until you think you *are* at War.

2. Rent all the medieval movies you can find and play them all, back to
back, on a big-screen TV. Stand in front of the TV in garb. Put on
your armor for the big fight scenes.

And the number one thing to do while everyone else is at Pennsic...

1. Plot the downfall of everyone you know who went off to Pennsic without
    taking you.

... who, you might have guessed, is not going to Pennsic this year.
