Pug,
   You are twisting (badly I might add) the topic of the conversation!  The Lady takes issue with the fact that these "vulgar items" were used in a jest on an SCA-Related list.  She at no time argued that they are not needed in this day and age, nor that they should be discussed with children!
   
   I think the entire list should take a moment and THINK before they post to this list.  Is the topic SCA related? (If you must stretch to make this claim, be sure and include your rationalization in the post!)  Will the topic offend anyone? If so, make your apologies in advance and defuse the situation before it ever blows up.  Is the post in good taste?  

  I've been guilty myself of the same "It was just a joke" mentality Timo has been called on... he made his apologies.  Let's try and avoid it again and move on.
