Buyers Beware! My lady sent fabric to Kristine at FoxFire Arts to have a poet's shirt made. She also sent complete measurements and a detailed sketch of how she expected the shirt to look. After months of delay and excuses, the shirt arrived today. The neckline is so small, she literally can't get it over her head. If she could, the torso would be skin-tight. There is no yoke at the shoulders. And the sleeves are narrow, skimpy little tubes. Since my lady sent a LOT (almost 6 yards!) of 60-inch-wide fabric, none of which was returned, there is absolutely no excuse for this. My lady is an average-sized woman (5-foot-6, 130 pounds). This shirt *might* fit a 10-year-old child. Inside, the seams are ragged and unfinished. The threads are unclipped. It is a sloppy job all the way around. The only note to this person's credit is that she didn't bill my lady for making the shirt, by way of apologizing for the delay. However, it would seem at this point that she owes my lady for the loss of the fabric, which was purchased several years ago, saved for something special, and cannot be replaced. I post this here in hope of preventing someone else's loss.
