Since there has been some question of just what the intent of Joe 
Bethancourt's statement is , (Do we have to stop singing?), I wrote 
directly to him.  This is his reply.

The intent is couched in legalese, unfortunately, but that is as it
must be.

You may play, sing, recite, copy to unofficial newsletters, placard,
parody, whatever any of my stuff so long as it is done by anyone OTHER
than the SCA Inc.

The publication in any OFFICIAL PUBLICATION of the SCA INC. is what is
banned, not a performance by an individual or any group that is not
part of the corporate body of the SCA.

In other words, the narrow interpetation applies here.
